Meet the Minister
Paul McWilliams has been a member of the churches of Christ his entire life, and the Christian influence within his family dates back well over two hundred years. His father David, who attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee was at one time a preacher and later became an elder at the Pleasant Ridge church of Christ in Arlington, Texas where his mother, Judy, still attends.
Paul has always been active within the church, becoming a leader in his youth group as a teen and becoming actively involved in his church's Leadership Training for Christ program. Paul attended Abilene Christian University for two years where he double majored in Bible and Child Psychology. While there, he met and fell in love with Sheri Aragon from La Junta, Colorado who he subsequently married in March 1992. He and Sheri have four children: Siara, Paul Jr., Parker and Savana.
After their marriage, Paul and Sheri lived in both Colorado and Texas where he worked mainly with emotionally disturbed and handicapped children in the public school system.
Paul received his Bible/Ministry degree from Amridge University where he graduated cum laude. He has served as youth minister for both the Las Animas and La Junta churches of Christ and pulpit minister for the Kim church of Christ and is currently serving at the Columbine church of Christ, in Greeley, Colorado.
Paul believes that all people should have the opportunity to learn how to make Christ Jesus the foundation for their lives, and is dedicated to preaching and teaching the Word of God.
